Alternatively 3/ value of turnover according to administrative data.

10-49 persons employed (SIZE1),

The number of persons employed in the Business Register (BR) is filled up from administrative source on the number of persons paying social insurance. The corresponding list of units with the number of the insured, for whom employees pay health and social insurance employers are obliged (according to the law), is handed over with monthly periodicity with about a two-month delay after end of the reference period. Sample stratification will refer to classification from the BR.

Reference period: Year 2020 for the E-commerce module, where not specified respondents should consider as reference their current situation (first quarter 2021 was recommended).

Collection method:

The survey is a postal survey with possibility to mail back the questionnaire (in pdf format) and/or to use computer assisted for filling in. Respondents receive instructions (via a message in their data box) describing how to get to the online questionnaire (computer assisted) or have an opportunity to download it from the CZSO website. Online questionnaire (computer assisted) was especially developed for the purpose of this survey. Online questionnaire use all necessary checks (controls). For those enterprises that do not own data boxes (approximately 1000 cases a year), paper questionnaires are sent (and returned) by post.

Population covered: NACE Rev. 2 sections C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, L, M and N, division 95.1.

Enterprises with less than 10 persons employed were not covered.

For national need the whole NACE 65, NACE 66,NACE 67 was covered in the Enterprise survey.

A small questionnaire for size with 5-9 persons employed was designed. Not all indicators for this size are available.

Sample size: 8 734 enterprises
