Who participates in EDIMARS?
EDIMARS is open to all actors of the maritime transport sector within the European Union: national and regional administrations, port authorities, transport operators, shipowners, ship agents, carriers, port community systems providers, etc.
Spain has been part of EDIMARS from early 1995 on. The Netherlands and France participated in 1995, while Ireland, Germany and the UK have joined in 1996. Participation is open to all concerned Member States (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the UK -Austria and Luxembourg do not have sea traffic-).

EDIMARS is supported by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities. It is part of the IDA programme (Interchange of Data between Administrations), in the DSIS framework (Distributed Statistical Information Services). It is managed by consultants from Alcatel TITN Answare.
EDIMARS progress status is presented at the bi-annual meetings of the European Board for EDI Standardisation (EBES), Experts Group 6 (EG6 « Statistics »), Working Group 7 (WG7 « Transport »).
