The mission on the processing of sources

Background

The national accountants have collected all the sources available to compile their accounts.

Objectives

The mission on the processing of sources must train the users to prepare the files which allow them to load their sources into the ERETES module. At the end of this mission, they must be capable of undertaking this task on their own.

Activities

In-depth training

Specific exercises from the test set permit users to become familiar with the problems encountered when processing sources; choice of attributes, organisation of data, changeover from business accounts to national accounts.

Study of prepared sources, organisation and aggregation of data

The entire team will participate in this study. First they will identify the gaps in the information system and the possibility of remedying these. Then, each of the sources will be reviewed in order to decide :

• the correspondence tables which should be used with the national accounts' classifications

• the pillars around which these basic data should be concatenated

• the most sensitive cases in terms of the allocation of methodological attributes.
  

It is usually during this mission that the table of Production modes is finalised.

Profile of the expert

The person in charge of this mission will be a national accountant with specialist knowledge of ERETES software.

One week in the country concerned.
