The national accounts are produced to the IBGE (Brazilian Geography and Statistics Institute).
ERETES is used for the development of the new series of the national accounts in benchmark year 2000 .
The team responsible for the base of the national accounts is mainly made up
of technicians recently recruited.
It is divided into two groups. The group responsible for the Supply and Use
Table is composed of 13 technicians while the group responsible for the development
of the intermediate accounts of the institutional sectors and for the integrated
economic accounts including the assets accounts is formed of 10 technicians.
The financial accounts are carried out in partnership IBGE and Central Bank of Brazil.
ERETES was installed in november 2001
The National Accounts from 2000 to 2004 will be published in the first quarter of 2007.
