The five priority activities exploit information technology in support of the Community Statistical System.
The aims, benefits and concept of each of the priority activities can be found through the links below.
A collection of statistical information using well established methodologies, data structured to agreed standards, and associated metadata that have agreed meaning.
Statistical products should become more attractive, understandable and readily available to statisticians and non-statisticians alike. Users will be able to have access to a greater resource of information from which to draw their conclusions.
Electronic Data Interchange, using trans-European networks, will continue to be developed and exploited as a means of minimising the effort and improving the reliability of inter-operability between organisations, transparent to the user.
The burden of raw data collection will be reduced for the economic operators and Competent National Administrations.
User services will be supported by effective and reliable inter-organisational telematic services.
The five STNE priority activities aim to improve the collection, production, reference and dissemination of national and European statistics for the priority statistical domains.
