(Capital-city regions in Europe 2000)
What is shown?

This interactive element displays Eurostat data on eight different social and economic variables referring to 27 capital-city regions in the 15 EU member states and the 12 accession countries (i.e. all candidate countries with the exception of Turkey). The visualisation is carried out by means of bar charts. The numerical values are also displayed.

How to use this multimedia component?

Choose from the menu "Countries" either the set of capital-city regions for all 15 EU member states or the set of the 12 EU accession states and from the menu "Variable" one of the eight variables. You will get for the selected variable bar charts for the capital-city regions of the chosen set of countries.

Via "View" you may switch to a comparison of two variables for the capital-city regions of only two countries, chosen at will among the 27 countries. For clarity of presentation, the eight variables are grouped into four sets of related variables.
