How can I apply for membership?
Some interest groups are public; this means that you can visit them without logging in. Others are accessible for those who have logged in. A third type is reserved for members only. To apply for membership of an interest group:
Login to CIRCABC at https://circabc.europa.eu Browse categories (a category is a thematic set of interest groups)
e.g. to apply for membership of groups managed by Directorate-General for Informatics:- navigate to DIGIT (under European Commission Header)
- choose a group under "registered" or "public" access
- click on "Join this group" then "Submit" (you can add a comment justifying your application)
-
How can I find a specific document?
It's important to know first in which Interest Group this document is uploaded, so we suggest that you contact the direction or unit who has published this document. The leaders (group managers) can invite you (grant you access) to it.
-
What can I do if I cannot see the Interest group I want to join?
This means that this Interest group is visible to members only and you cannot apply for membership, so we suggest that you contact the direction or unit responsible of this group. The leaders (group managers) can invite you (grant you access) to it.

How to create a new Interest Group
The Interest Groups in CIRCABC are created by the CIRCABC category administrators. Each DG or agency has its own category.
You provide them with the following information:
- Name of the group: not listed on the category's page; it appears in the navigation bar to and within the group. It should be as short as possible (acronym, for instance). e.g. : HubInfo
- Title of the group: long name of the group. ex.: "CIRCABC Hub Information"
- At least one leader: this leader may invite fellow-leaders after the group has been created.
- Optionally: Light description (visible in the category page) and description (Visible in the IG page)
To get the contact details of your DGs category administrator, please contact the CIRCABC support team by opening an incident via the helpdesk:
European Commission's staff:
Support is available via the IT helpdesk at EC-HELPDESK-IT@ec.europa.eu (please send an e-mail to report an incident for DIGIT CIRCABC SUPPORT).
Users outside the European Commission:
